PHP Program

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a structured mental health treatment program designed to provide intensive care to individuals who need more support than traditional outpatient therapy but do not require full hospitalization. It bridges the gap between inpatient hospitalization and regular outpatient care.

Key Features of PHP:

  1. Therapeutic Environment: Treatment often includes individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and skill-building sessions.

  2. Comprehensive Care: Services include:

    • Psychiatric evaluation and medication management.

    • Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based approaches.

    • Educational sessions about mental health and substance use.

    • Stress management and coping skill training.

  3. Flexible Structure: Patients return home after treatment each day, enabling them to maintain their daily responsibilities or reconnect with family support.

Conditions Treated in PHPs:

  • Mood disorders like depression and bipolar disorder.

  • Anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety, PTSD, or OCD.

  • Substance use disorders.

Benefits:

  • Offers a structured, supportive environment.

  • Helps prevent hospitalization and provides step-down care.

Who Can Benefit?

PHP is typically suited for individuals who:

  • Have serious symptoms and require 24/7 monitoring.

  • Need more than weekly therapy but less than full hospitalization.

  • Require a step-down program after residential treatment care to help transition forward in their treatment.

If you’re considering a PHP for yourself or someone else, it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional for an individualized recommendation.
